Father's Day

Andy enjoyed a wonderful Father's Day. After church, we relaxed around the house for a little while so Christopher could nap. In the afternoon, we hiked to Laurel Falls. It's about 30 minutes from here, and not too difficult of a hike. I carried my Camelbak and stayed well hydrated by drinking about 2.5L over the course of our 3 hour hike! Guess I was thirsty.

We hiked down to the waterfalls, crossing a couple bridges along the way, then Christopher and Andy played in the stream for about an hour. They had so much fun together and Christopher thought it was the greatest thing in the world. I enjoyed soaking my feet in the cold water and taking pictures of my boys. I think I took almost 150, so I tried to just choose a few of the best ones to put up. I couldn't resist - they were too cute together in the water!

Daddy and Christopher crossing the bridge.

First dip in the water at the base of the falls.

SPLASH!

Getting a little braver.

Hi, Mommy! Look at us!

Can we go down there, Daddy?

Within about 2 minutes of being in the water, Christopher was fearless and wanted to walk all around - climbing over the rocks and going almost up to his waist in the water.

Um...see you later, boys.

Taking a short break.

Christopher thought it was hilarious to splash Andy with the water.

I can do anything if Daddy's holding my hands!

Think they're having fun?

I love you, Daddy.

Chilling with Daddy (literally as well).

Do it again, Daddy. That's funny.

I love you, Mommy.

What a special day. We had a wonderful time enjoying each other's company and the beauty of God's creation. There's no better place to be in the world than outside!

Happy Father's Day!
