Kaela Is Three Months

Weighing in at 7lbs and 10 oz, Kaela turned three months old today. Amazing. I can't believe she's that old already, and we're so proud of how much she's grown. Thank you again for all your prayers for her. She's a very pleasant baby. When she's hungry or needs some attention, she just lets out a short little cry/yell. She does this 5-6 times, pausing for about 30 seconds or so in-between to see if anyone is listening. Only if you ignore her does she then start crying. When she does, Christopher has gotten pretty good at giving her a pacifier. He goes over, picks it up and says "It's okay, Kaea. Open your mouth, Kaea. Here's your papi. Open your mouth, Kaela." And he gently wiggles it in.

Kaela's doing great at learning to hold her head up, and she's beginning to track things really well with her eyes too. We all love her and enjoy having her as part of our family.

I took a few pictures of her for several reasons - one - to show what she looks like at 3 months. Two - to capture a memory of her wearing the same outfit that I wore when my parents brought me home from the hospital. And three - to show you all how much she looks like me! I included a couple pictures from my baby book of me, including the one of me in the same outfit.

She's started smiling now - which is so much fun. I caught the end of one in this picture, but her eyes were almost shut. Oh well...next time.
