Putting Up Our Christmas Tree

We decided to go with a little tree this year, so we all piled in the van and drove about 1/2 mile to a parking lot where someone was selling pre-cut trees. The nice thing about this year was that it WAS actually cold AND SNOWING...so it made it feel much more like Christmas time than the last time we went out to get a tree in shorts and t-shirts. Christopher had fun running between all the trees saying, "This one. This one. Yes." And of course, having Daddy chase him all around the lot. The tree fit in the back of our van, so we loaded it up, brought it home and started decorating.

Christopher made it nice and challenging to string the lights on the tree because he kept turning them off and on, so it was hard to see where I had already put them and what areas might need more lights.

Look what I can do, Mommy! "Turn off. Turn it on. Look at the Cismas lights, Mommy. Wanna see them? Yes."

And in the end, we finally got them all on, hung our ornaments, and then stood and smiled at Kaela watching the lights that Christopher made blink for her on the tree. It was a little chilly, so Daddy wrapped a blanket around her in her bumbo.

Here's a picture of the "computer genius" I mentioned in the last post, scrolling through our blog. He LOVES it.

I forgot to mention that as I was packing for our trip to Fort Wayne, Christopher decided he would like to help Mommy get ready.

Oh yeah...ALL OVER the counter and him. And as soon as he saw me, he started pumping as fast as he could. What a guy!
